Carpe Diem of Virginia, Inc. would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who supported our campaign for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event. This was the first year that we participated in this event and when we set our goal, we were not sure how we would reach that amount in such a short period of time. It is with great pleasure that we announce that not only did we meet our goal, we exceeded it; raising a total of $2,208.00! The walk took place on Saturday, October 3rd. The weather was great and we had several individuals who came to show their support for our team. Please remember that your support, whether it was through prayer, monetary donations, or baking and/or making goodies to sell will help the American Cancer Society in their efforts to: help people find cures, help people stay well and get well from breast cancer, help people to find the courage to fight back and SAVE LIVES.
Thank You! |

Its that time again. We at Carpe Diem Children’s Services and Hampton Roads Child Care are proud to announce our 2nd Annual Fall Festival. The event will be held at our office and surrounding area at 3500 Tejo Lane, Chesapeake, Virginia, 23321. Please join us on Sept. 18, 2009 anytime between 2:00-7:00pm.
Our agency and other generous donors have allowed us to provide backpacks and school supplies for children in our Foster Care and In-Home Services Programs as a part of our Carpe Diem Kids’ Gear program. The children who are currently in our program will automatically be registered to receive backpacks and school supplies from our agency and Hampton Road’s Child Care. If you are the referral source for a child in our program, then please come visit us so you can see your child have fun and receive their gift. We are going to have face painting, food, prizes, rides, and a lot of other fun activities. If you have a child on your case load, and you would like for them to be a part of the fun and receive free backpacks and school supplies, please pre-register with Brenda Hardy, our referral coordinator at (757) 739-5911 or Scott Runger at 638-5500. We require that you bring the child with you when you visit if you would like for them to receive the free backpack and school supplies. The Fall Festival is open to all of our friends at the local department of social services and any referral sources for our In-Home Services Program. Please come and join us.
